A Westerville player who came home to coach

Wes grew up playing in Westerville, starred at shortstop for Ohio State, and now helps the next generation of players get faster, sharper and more confident.

A former Ohio State baseball player, Wes is the founder and owner of Diamond Speed & Agility, and has become the go-to instructor for youth and college athletes looking to take their game to the next level.

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from The Ohio State University and is certified through the International Youth Conditioning Association (IYCA). At DSA he works with players in private and group settings, crafting an approach for each individual athlete rather than a one-size-fits-all program.

Fundamentals, athleticism and fun

Most parents and athletes know what it takes for a young player to be competitive in travel, high school and college ball. Strong fundamentals and athletic ability are the foundation of success.

Wes’s core belief is to help student athletes increase speed, agility, quickness and overall athleticism, while still having fun playing America’s greatest game.

What parents say about Wes

Wes’s approach isn’t about turning every player into a D1 recruit. His strength lies in building a player’s confidence and always reminding them about having fun while playing the game. He’s had a huge impact on my son.
Mike McBride
Wes meets the players where they are and pushes them to go further. He teaches them about proper approaches and techniques and has them self-evaluate at each lesson.
